EVENT: Sulu DC Hosts 3rd Anniversary Party

We’re very happy to host Sulu DC’s 3rd anniversary party and show at Meeps this upcoming Friday, Nov 9! First, a little bit about Sulu DC from their website:

Named after Sulu of Star Trek (the first Asian American character in space) and a remote island in the Philippines, Sulu DC is an underground network and home for emerging and established artists of the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) diaspora. On the third Saturday of every month, Sulu DC curates and produces a performance showcase of AAPI artists in poetry/spoken word, music, theater, comedy, film, and multidisciplinary performances.

Sulu DC provides emerging and established Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) artists with a empowering spaces to nurture artistic growth, strengthen the AAPI artist community, and raise awareness of issues relevant to AAPI communities at-large.

Sulu DC turns 3!

The event will feature live music by The Pinstriped Rebel and Phil Good, and poetry by Jenny C. Lares, Regie Cabico, and Tara Trinity Villanueva. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased with cash or credit card at the door. Doors open at 7:30pm. Can’t wait to see you there!
